SEATTLE!
Last month I decided to go on a week vacation and go visit really good friend/ex girlfriend,Tessa in Seattle.Let me start off by saying, I love Seattle. Seattle is so awesome, it’s full of amazing vegan foods, breathe taking sights and just has an all around great feel to it.
I flew in Friday morning around 10 am, and Tessa met me at the airport and then took me right to an all vegan doughnut shop. This place was beyond delicious, they had every kind of doughnut I could think of, if you’re in the area check them out, it’s called The Might O. After we had breakfast we took a nap then went out to Pikes Place. I had always heard about Pikes Place and seen it on T.V, and it’s just as cool and interesting as I thought. Tons of homemade stuff and food everywhere and even a comic book store. Well anyway, we walked around there for awhile and then decided to head back to the house and get something to eat. We went to an all vegan place called Pizza Pi, that was the BEST vegan pizza that I have ever had.
The next day we woke up and went downtown to the Seattle Vegetarian/Vegan Festival. Holy shit, this thing was HUGE and so many free samples of everything ever! All the things I thought I would never eat again they had a vegan alternative for.It was so much fun, and we got a lot of awesome recipes as well. After the festival we took a walk, got some food and had a little picnic on a huge hill overlooking most of Seattle, super nice and relaxing.
Tessa took me to get brunch on Sunday, I know I just said this but honestly, it was the BEST vegan breakfast ever! We ordered a tofu scramble breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy and ‘cream cheese’ crapes. YES, vegan cream cheese crapes. And after brunch we took and trip to the Seattle Zoo. After spent a few hours walking around and checking out all of the awesome animals, and there were a lot of awesome animals there, we decided to head back to the house and chilled out and watched a documentary on cuttlefish.
Monday was my last real day to hangout so we packed the day full of super fun stuff. We woke up early got breakfast and then took a cruise around the Seattle harbor. The cruise was really cool and we saw some awesome sights. After the harbor cruise we headed to the Seattle Aquarium. I love everything about the ocean and really like going to aquariums and wow, this aquarium was really cool. Seeing how the octopus is one of my all time favorite animals we spent a lot of time at her tank just watching her hangout. After checking out the whole aquarium and all of its cool animals we decided to head out. Next on our list was the Space Needle! You can see the whole city from the top of this thing and the breathe taking view is a lot to take in.After spending some time and taking some pictures of the city and whatnot we started to get hungry. This time Tessa took me to a all vegan Chinese place, where we got a ton of really good mock meats and veggies. After wards, we went back to the Space Needle to check out that breathe taking view under the stars, then called it a night.
Man, Seattle is awesome. I can not wait to go back.
